TOURISM IN NEPAL















  1. NEPAL is a small landlocked country with great biodiversity in small area. Nepal is a heaven of nature.


  2. Geographical structure of nepal


  3. __Roughly trapezoida shape, extended 800 kilometres long and 200 kilometres wide with area of 147181 square killometres


  4. __According to physiographic division, it is divided into mountain regions, Hill,siwalik region and terai regions. Ecological belt run beteen east-west and vertically intersected by major fast flowing rivers from north to south


  5. __Terai regions is a plane area extended around bordering of Nepal and India formed by the northern rim of the indo_Gangetic plains.They were fed by three major himalayan river; Kosi, Narayani and Karnali.They have subtropical to tropical climate .The foothills regions are known as siwalik or churia Rabge at 700 to 1000 metres height which limit the gangetic plain.This regions are also known as inner terai containing many low valleys


  6. __hilly region contains mountain of 800 to 4000 metres in altitude and there climate change from subtropical (below 1200metres) to alpine climate(above 3600 metres). The mahabharat lekh is extended from 1500 to 3000 metres is the southern limit of this region.The population density is high below 2000metres but low above it. Snow occasinally falls in winter.


  7. __Mountain region(Parbat) is extended up to 8848metres height which is the nort pare of Nepal with China border Mounteverest of nepal lies near about the borser of china. There are seven other mountains withs eight thousand meter peaks in Nepal. These are Chooyu,Kaanchanjunga,Makalu,Lhotse,Dhaulagiri,Annapurna and Manaslu.
